About the Mometu College Film Festival

The Mometu College Film Festival (MCFF) is an annual celebration started in 2023, dedicated solely to providing college students with a space to share their work.

Now in its third year, the Festival honors seven categories, including Best Drama, Best Comedy, Best Horror/Thriller, Best Black Cinema, Best Documentary, Best Potential Pilot and Best Foreign Language. Awards are also given for Best Picture, our Producers Pick and Audience Award.

Seeking out the best in student cinema, the Festival provides a platform for the current and next generation of filmmakers to showcase their films. In addition, filmmakers have the opportunity to take part in educational panels to learn from industry executives and filmmakers.
